A request for information (RFI) is a standard business process whose purpose is to collect written information about the capabilities of various suppliers or vendors. The RFI procedure is used in the construction industry in cases where it is necessary to confirm the interpretation of a detail, specification or note on the construction drawings or to secure a documented directive or clarification from the architect or client that is needed to continue work.
Request for Information (RFI) is a feature of SKYSITE which will meet user’s need to ask questions, deliver the query and get query resolution on any item (tangible or intangible) related to the project, within a specified time period and from a specific user with other users in cognizance in a streamlined, efficient, accurate and orderly manner. An RFI can be raised at Project level as well as at Viewer level of SKYSITE cloud as well as device.
RFIs can be setup, created, viewed, edited, approved, reopened, closed, rejected or made void in SKYSITE cloud as well as device. RFIs can be annotated on project documents along with the addition of attachments on the RFIs.
RFI creation, viewing, editing and assigning both at project as well as viewer level in device is similar to that of RFI related operations performed in cloud. Also, the RFIs created and saved in the cloud will be displayed in the devices if the cloud and the device are synchronized with each other.
