Physical construction documents have predefined shapes (call-outs) with sheet name/number, which indicates another document should be consulted by the user for detailed view of the section where the call-outs exists. SKYSITE application can automatically detect those shapes and hyperlink those shapes with the intended documents (provided the destination documents mentioned in the call-outs are also uploaded in the application).

The detection and linking occurs while uploading the physical document to SKYSITE. After automatic linking the document become a smart document and saves a lot of your time for the manual hyperlinking job. While uploading, application identifies the predefined shapes and automatically hyperlinks these shapes to the intended document (if it exists in SKYSITE). Hence, in SKYSITE all callouts inside your documents will be detected to find the target hyperlink and you can review it before saving.

This feature is project-specific. Hence for a specific project, you need to enable automatic detection of hyperlinks on call-outs (auto-hyperlink) from the settings of that particular project. This is shown below,

Description of auto-hyperlink workflow:

  • Once you upload and publish a document, and then open that document for the first time in the Viewer auto hyperlink review pane is by default opened.

The auto-hyperlink review pane is shown below,

  • You can click on the  button to minimize the auto-hyperlink review pane.

The review pane displays the list of successful & unsuccessful auto-hyperlinks created on the document by the application.

The call-outs detected by the application shows up in green color or in yellow color. The green color call-outs are successful auto-hyperlinks (created by the application) connected to a document which is present inside the same project. The yellow color call-outs are unsuccessful auto-hyperlinks (created by the application) where the destination document is not present inside the project.

  • Click on any one of the row of a successful auto-hyperlink on the review pane and the [Accept][Edit] & [Delete] button will appear for that auto-hyperlink. Also, the application the Viewer display is zoomed to the area where the selected auto-hyperlink exists and displays the Jump to pop-up box on the auto-hyperlink. Please refer to Drawing, saving & viewing hyperlinks help file for more details on the Jump to pop-up box. You can change the link to another document or delete the auto-hyperlink from the Jump to pop-up box.

These buttons are shown in the screenshot below,

  • You can click on  [Accept] button to accept/save the auto-hyperlink. As a consequence, the message "Auto-hyperlink successfully saved as a markup" displayed and color of the call-out changes to red. This means that you have accepted the system-detected auto-hyperlink and the auto-hyperlink is converted & saved as a normal hyperlink and also synced to device. As soon as you accept the auto-hyperlink it is removed from the review pane.

    • Now, click on the converted auto-hyperlink and the preview to the linked document appears on the Jump to pop-up box. This is shown below,

  • Click on the preview to open the destination document in a new Viewer tab on the same browser tab.

  • You can click on  [Edit] button to open the Jump to pop-up box with the option to change the hyperlink to another document or delete the link. This is shown below,

  • Click on the preview to open the destination document in a new Viewer tab on the same browser tab.

  • Click on the  [Delete] button to remove the detected auto-hyperlink from the application. It will be removed from the review pane as well.

You can click on the unsuccessful auto-hyperlink (detected but destination document not present) present on the review pane with the sign and open the Link to psop-up box on the unsuccessful auto-hyperlink. This is shown below,

You can select a different file to link with the suggested auto-hyperlink and save the same as normal hyperlink.

Note: If you wish, you can delete the suggested unsuccessful auto-hyperlink.

You can click [Save all] button to accept/save all the detected auto-hyperlinks on the document at one shot. Similarly, you can click [Remove all] button to purge all detected auto-hyperlinks on the document at one shot.

Automatically saving auto-hyperlinks

You can automatically save auto-hyperlinks detected by the application on any document of a project. This button is present on the 'Folder view' screen and appears right after you navigate inside a project.

Screenshot below displays this button:

  • Click this button to automatically save all auto-hyperlinks detected by the application on all the documents of the particular project.

This reduces your hassle to open each document and save all the auto-hyperlinks individually or all auto-hyperlink of each document separately. In case there are unsuccessful auto-hyperlinks then you can delete those manually or upload the destination document to make the auto-hyperlink successful. Again, you can manually create normal hyperlink on undetected auto-hyperlinks (if any).
