This mechanism to exclude a folder out of ‘Latest Documents’ folder is introduced during folder creation. You can choose to exclude the contents of a folder from the ‘Latest Documents’ during folder creation. This means that all the files (to be uploaded inside that folder) will not have a copy of the latest versions in the ‘Latest Documents’ folder. You need to click on [Exclude from “Latest documents”] checkbox on the ‘Create Folder’ pop-up box.

After folder creation, all the files uploaded inside that folder will not have the latest version stored inside ‘Latest Documents’ folder. The folder icon will appear different.

Once excluded, you cannot include that folder content again in ‘Latest Documents’ folder by disabling the [Exclude from “Latest documents”] checkbox.

Including an excluded folder in ‘Latest Documents’ & vice-versa

To include an excluded folder in ‘Latest Documents’, user will have to move the source folder, that is excluded from ‘Latest Documents’, inside a destination folder, that is included in ‘Latest Documents’.

  • Click the [More Options] button of a folder > Click Edit > Click the Information icon on the ‘Modify Folder’ screen

A warning message is displayed to the user when he/she tries to move an excluded folder inside an included folder.

In this case, files will be added in ‘Latest Documents’ folder.


To exclude an included folder in ‘Latest Documents’, user will have to move the source folder, that is included in ‘Latest Documents’, inside a destination folder, that is excluded from ‘Latest Documents’.

Including an excluded file in ‘Latest Documents’ & vice-versa

Since exclusion/inclusion of individual files is not available, to exclude/include a file, the user will have to move the whole folder (within which the file exists) inside a suitable destination folder.


To include an excluded file in ‘Latest Documents’, user will have to move the source folder (within which the file is present), that is excluded from ‘Latest Documents’, inside a destination folder, that is included in ‘Latest Documents’.
