Adding New Document Packages

Follow the given procedure to add a new document package:

  1. Navigate to the Document Package screen.

  2. Click on  button present at the top right-hand corner of the screen to open the Add New Package screen. This screen is shown below,

  1. Enter the package name in the Package Name text box. As soon as you add package name, the newly entered name gets displayed at the top as the screen name.

  2. Enter a note in the Note text area. In the Note textbox you can give the reason on why this document package is being created.

Procedure to attach files from within Collection folders:

  • Within the Package Items section, under the Collection Files tab, click  (Add Collection Document(s) icon) to associate Collection documents with the to be created package. Also, you can proceed to insert or add Collection documents in the package only after entering a name for the new package. The Add/Edit package item(s) screen is shown below,

The screen displayed above has 3 sections: Collection Folder, Collection file(s) & Selected Collection file(s).

Procedure of adding files:

  • The Collection folder structure in tree format are displayed under the Collection Folder section. Select a folder to view the files under the Collection under the Collection file(s) section.

  • The folder name, size is displayed and along with that the option to choose the file version is also given. You can choose the Latest Revision, Testing version & First Changeset version of the file. Select the file(s) by ticking the checkbox beside each file and then click on Add button at the bottom on the screen. This will lead to the addition of the selected files under the Selected Collection file(s) section. 

The selected files are displayed in screenshot below under the Selected Collection file(s) section.

  • Again, you can select files from the Selected Collection file(s) section and click on Remove button to return the file back to the Collection file(s) section.

The added files present on the Selected Collection file(s) section will be displayed on the main Add New Package screen. These files are shown below,

  • Click on  button to download any added document.

  • Click on document name link to open & view the file content on the Document Viewer

  • Click on  button to again open the Add/Edit package item(s) screen, to again remove the current selection of documents or add more documents.

  • Select any document and then click on  button to delete the added documents.

Procedure to attach files from local system:

  • Within the Package Items section, under the Attachments tab, click  (Add Collection Document(s) icon) to attach Collection documents with the to be created package. Also, you can proceed to insert or add documents from your local system in the package only after entering a name for the new package. The Upload Document Packages screen is shown below,

  • Click on Select Files button to upload and then attach any document from your local system hard-drive. Refer to Uploading Files to get a general understanding of the uploading procedure.

  • Similar to displaying attached document under Collection Files tab, the attached document will be displayed under the Attachments tab. You can select the documents & click on  button to delete the documents.

  1. In the end you will have to click on  (Save & Close button) to save the attached documents within the package and therefore create the package as well as close the package creation window and move back to the Document Packages list view screen. The confirmation message appears after successful completion of the package creation.

  2. Click OK. The new package gets added within the list of the Document Packages.

  3. Also, you can click on  (Back button) anytime during the process of package creation to discard the package and move back to the Document Packages list view screen.
